I have spent more than ten years working with individuals, couples and families in a variety of inpatient, outpatient, medical and residential settings. I believe that the focus of starting a new therapeutic relationship should include creating a safe space to unpack thoughts and feelings of how you view your life at baseline and the physical, emotional and environmental factors that impact the quality of your life.
Together we will establish a plan to help you create positive change in your life that may include: disrupting patterns, making new choices, addressing barriers and identifying what’s most meaningful to you. The overarching goal is to create a more vital connection with yourself and to envision a life that feels more meaningful and purposeful.
Every client is on a different journey, and my goal is to be with you where you are at and provide a warm, collaborative approach to help you access your own innate resilience. I use a variety of trauma informed, holistic and therapeutic techniques, including EMDR to support, educate, build relationships, identify goals and cultivate potential.
My areas of expertise encompasses a wide range of emotional and behavioral issues that include depression, anxiety, trauma, managing physical health concerns, work-related change, identity and grief and loss.
I have specialized training and experience working with first responders, veterans and cancer survivors and their loved ones. My background and training has also given me the opportunity to assist clients struggling with disabilities, chronic pain and issues related to death/dying and grief.
