As a trauma-informed therapist, my mission is to meet the person where they are emotionally and walk with them until they get to where they want to be.
In addition to being an LCPC (Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor) and LCADC (Licensed Clinical Addictions Counselor), I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) for trauma therapy, and I am Reiki level 1 certified, working towards Reiki level 2. I enjoy utilizing a holistic approach to healing and respect both eastern and western philosophies towards balancing the mind, body, and spirit. I respect how each person comes to the table with their own perspectives and biases but the end goal is the same, to help my clients heal, grow and feel more satisfied with their life and relationships. With this understanding, I use a more eclectic approach and remain person-centered to allow each person seeking help to feel supported in identifying and achieving their goals. It is not my job to fix the “problem;” instead, it is my job to actively listen and provide the space for the person to feel heard and navigate their “stuff” safely. After clarifying challenges and needs, I work closely with my clients to create a concrete plan of action that reflects individual goals and allows for a realistic plan to reach them.
